What is the F1 VISA?

There are various types of VISA you can apply for, which differ in the permissions they provide to you. But, if you are planning to go to the USA for study purposes, then you must apply for F1 VISA.
This Visa is provided to those students who wish to obtain admission in academic studies in the USA approved colleges, universities, and schools. Another requirement is that the student pursuing the program should be an approved English language platform. It is given to a student if his course comprises of more than 18 hours of study time per week. But you are only limited to 12 months of validity for the concerned institution. Also, students may lose their Visa validity if they have a break in studies for 5 months or more unless the break is due to some international work related to their course.
